Thankfully, I'm not the only one that felt that way, for Erol Alkan and Richard Norris (BTWS) released an "unreleased" (read: "bootleg") remix of "A House Is Not A Motel" that is less a re-imagination than a re-edit, taking the track past the five minute mark and amplifying all the good stuff, building tension that releases during the freak-out at the end. Due to copyright issues, it's not going to appear on their forthcoming remix collection (which I strongly recommend you seek out) but if you search the InterWeb for it, you should be able to track it down. (And maybe your search won't be that hard after all.) It's one of the best remixes I've heard in years, and I hope you enjoy it, too.
